Daughters of the King

Daughters of the King, St. Helena’s chapter, is a group of women who come together to intentionally pray, study and serve wherever a need occurs.  Newly received Daughters vow to do the same.  The DOK objectives are much the same as when the order was formed in 1885 by Margaret Franklin and her “Bible Class for Young Ladies,  birthed  by a  commitment to Christ and love for his church.

The 7:00 AM group meets in Skyles Hall each Wednesday, followed by Holy Eucharist and a healing service in the church with Fr. Allan.  This service at 8:00 welcomes all –  not only DOK’s.

Those who do not prefer the early, weekly hour may choose the 12:00 noon group on the 4th Wednesday of each month (with lunch, less time restriction but no Holy Eucharist.)

Visiting Daughters, as well as those interested in becoming a Daughter, are more than welcome to attend either meeting.
